English Immersion combines dynamic lessons focused on practical communication, qualified and experienced teachers, and an international campus in Binfield — peaceful, yet with easy access to London.
Over two weeks you’ll build fluency and confidence when speaking, rich vocabulary for real-life situations, writing and reading skills for academic and professional contexts, plus intercultural communication skills — gaining independence and confidence in an international environment.

Founded over a century ago, Newbold College is set in a historic mansion in the English Renaissance style, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Its striking, charming architecture feels like a scene from a history book, offering an inspiring and welcoming environment for students during their stay — around an hour west of central London, in the Royal County of Berkshire.

Meet the teacher leading your morning lessons
Every morning, students take part in structured English lessons designed to build real fluency and confidence. For the January 2027 cohort, these lessons will be led by an experienced teacher and academic coordinator with over 15 years in international English language teaching.
Miriam is an experienced teacher and academic coordinator with over 15 years of experience teaching students from diverse international backgrounds. Her experience includes teaching English across all levels, preparing students for official English language exams, and training other educators to teach English. She currently develops and coordinates international programmes for Griggs International Europe, with a strong focus on immersive, student-centred English language learning. She is passionate about helping students strengthen their English so they can communicate with greater confidence. In January, she’ll be leading the English lessons and helping participants build their confidence, strengthen their practical English skills and communicate more effectively through an engaging learning experience.
Meet the teacher leading the afternoon workshops
Alongside English lessons in the morning, students take part in workshops and group activities across a range of areas in the afternoons. For the January 2027 cohort, these lessons and workshops will be led by a British teacher with over 11 million followers on social media.
Christopher is a British English instructor and digital education entrepreneur with over 12 years of teaching experience across the UK, Japan, Peru and Spain. He is the founder of Instant English UK, a Madrid-based English teaching brand with a combined social media audience of over 11 million followers across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok. In January, he’ll be leading the afternoon lessons and workshops focused on communication, digital presence and building more globally minded citizens.

When does the programme run?
English Immersion runs from 10–24 January 2027, with accommodation on the Newbold College of Higher Education campus in Berkshire.
Who is English Immersion for?
For adults aged 17 and over who want total immersion in English, with real gains in fluency, confidence and command of the language.
What’s included in the price?
A registration fee (£150, non-refundable) and a land package (£1,000), covering accommodation on campus, 15 hours of lessons a week, 2 meals a day (lunch and dinner), arrival and departure transfers, Wi-Fi, visits to London, Windsor and Bracknell, and a certificate of completion.
Is breakfast included?
It’s not included in the package. The campus has a kitchen for preparing quick meals, or students can purchase the cafeteria breakfast package for an additional £90. On excursion days, breakfast is served in the college dining hall.
